When motor disengages sometimes it can generate some electricity which could cause the display to get fried.
This is especially true when you are riding with more than a battery in parallel and any safety parallel battery combiner device. Because the batteries are protected from talking to each other, they are also protected from any current/voltage generated by the motor. Therefore, the display can be easily fried when those motor currents are generated while the planetary gears freewheel disengages e.g. when you stop pedalling or releasing the throttle, a voltage spike of more than 65V could be generated and that would kill your display.
Important tip! Always ride with the 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐃𝐏𝐎𝐕𝐏𝐱𝟏 over voltage protection when ride with more than one battery such as DATE Dx2 or Dx2C, Dx3 or Dx3C, regardless of how many batteries are connected at any time!
Tip! After installing the 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐃𝐏𝐎𝐕𝐏𝐱𝟏, the display itself will show the voltage less than it actually is, about 1-1.5V less ar any given time. Do not worry about that, it is just the display that shows less voltage, but the controller/motor already have more battery left (higher voltage).
